West Coast Leadership Academy

Newport Beach, California – August 3, 2004

Who:

The West Coast Leadership Academy is open to school and district leaders. School and district teams of four to six can benefit from this experience.

Experience:

Throughout the Academy, participants will work in small role-alike and cross-role groups. They will also have the opportunity to hear firsthand from the nationally recognized author and speaker, Dr. Phillip C. Schlechty, founder and CEO of CLSR.

Key topics will include:

  • How to build a common understanding for the need for change;
  • Why student engagement is central;
  • What "Working on the Work" is and why it is the core business of schools.
  • How everyone's roles change when Working on the Work becomes the way to do business.

The Leadership Academy will open on Sunday afternoon and close on Thursday at noon.
Dates: August 1-5, 2004
Location: Newport Beach, California
Registration Fee: $1650 per participant
